Public School 78

The Stapleton Lighthouse Community School

Thank you to principal, Jodi Contento, parent coordinator, Mai-Ling Miranda, and community school director, Taylor Copp!

"All it takes is an idea and a vision and you can change the world and at the least make it better for someone in need. That's exactly what the organization NSSit is about. They used their time, energy, and generosity to come to the school and distribute backpacks
filled with quality name supplies."
~ Principal Jodi Contento

PUBLIC SCHOOL 21

The Margaret Emery Elm Park School

Thank you to principal, Anthony Cosentino, vice principal, Kevin Hazzard, and their wonderful staff!

"We just wanted to take the time to thank you for the work you are doing through NSSit. From our very first interaction it was apparent how passionate and motivated you are to make a difference in your community and the world. The supplies you are providing not only provide support for everyday task our students may have but also serve as another reminder that people in this world care about them and want them to succeed. Your willingness to sacrifice your time and resources so that others can have a better reality, is inspiring and aligns with our own beliefs at PS 21 that collaboration with hard work and the desire to be a good person will change our world for the better. Please continue to inspire others with the work that you are doing, and we look forward to continuing to change the world and support our community in the future."
~ Vice Principal Kevin Hazzard

PUBLIC SCHOOL 57

The Hubert H. Humphrey School

Thank you to principal, Karyn Lind, community school director, Joyce Strype, and special thanks to the AFJROTC program at Old Bridge High School!

"The school supplies our students received will go a long way as things like crayons, pencils and notebooks are not items our student's parents can afford. The look on the children’s faces when they saw what was in their bags from NSSit was priceless. It is important to these children that someone who has no idea who they are, cares and is willing to take the time to help them. The founder of this organization, Priya, is a true example of one person going the extra mile to help those in need. The pandemic has taken its toll on our students and this one day of happiness she showed to them has helped beyond words."
~ Community School Director Joyce Strype
